The Zotzenberg basin lies on the south flank of the Mittelbergheim hillside, rising to an altitude of 320 metres.
Facing east and south, it enjoys privileged exposure to the sun. Its 36,45 ha consist of Jurassic limestone and marl, plus oligocene limestone-marl
conglomerates. This combination ensures moisture retention and resists drought.

Formerly renowned mainly for its Sylvaner, this vineyard enables Gewurztraminer, Riesling and Tokay Pinot Gris wines to become exceptionally expressive.

Initially known as Zoczenberg (1364), Zotzenberg wines have the rare privilege of being sold under the vineyard name ever since the beginning of the century.

Thanks to their limestone-marl origin, Zotzenberg Grand Cru wines are famous for their great finesse and exceptional body, and are wines which will keep for many years.
